The Karnataka State Planning Authority has a planned structure under the BMRDA to help in connecting Bengaluru city from its Region. The Satellite Town Ring Road project completion to be scheduled by March 2022 (Planned). The first phase of work began on the Dabbaspete - Doddaballaura, the second phase of work will commence from Doddaballaura to Hoskote.
The Satellite Town Ring Road project helps in easing traffic clogging on arterial and peripheral roads of Bengaluru. It separates Urban and Regional traffic in Bengaluru Metropolitan area region. The project cost of the 1st phase approximately estimated at Rs.1350 crore. It includes a 2.5 km long flyover in
Doddaballapur, Dabbaspete, Devanahalli, and Hoskote. The total project cost is estimated at Rs.5,500 crore. In recent times Bengaluru appears as the epic centre of the nation by creating more employment opportunities for the people of Bengaluru by making a major contribution to the GDP growth of India. In recent times National Highway Authority Of India (NHAI) decides to expand The Satellite Town Ring Road via the green zone of Bannerghatta National Park.
